LED street lights should be designed with high power
The LED street light has a unique secondary optical design, which can irradiate the light of the LED street light to the area that needs to be illuminated, further improving the light efficiency, in order to achieve the purpose of energy saving. Its own characteristics are its unidirectional light, no light diffusion, ensuring light efficiency. Different from conventional street lights, the LED street light source adopts low-voltage DC power supply and high-efficiency white light synthesized by blue LED and yellow. It has its own unique advantages and can be widely used in roads. The light color rendering of high-power LED street lamps is much higher than that of high-pressure sodium lamps. The color rendering index of high-pressure sodium lamps is only about 23. However, LED street lamps are different, and their color rendering indicators can reach 75 or more. The same brightness, which means that the average illuminance of LED road lights can be reduced by more than 20% without high-pressure sodium lamps. LED street lights still meet the road requirements after 10 years of use, because their light decay is small, less than 3% a year, while traditional high-pressure sodium lamps have a large decay, and the annual distribution has dropped by more than 30%. Therefore, LED street lights can be designed with lower power than traditional city circuit lights.
