How long is the span life of solar street lights?

With the vigorous development of new rural construction, the sales of solar street lights has increased rapidly. Many rural areas regard solar street lights as an important outdoor lighting option. However, there are still many people who are worried about its span life. Let us scientifically analyze how long the span life of solar street lights can reach.

Solar street light is an independent power generation lighting system, which is composed of batteries, street light poles, LED light source, battery panels, solar street light controllers and other components.

1. Solar panel

As we all know, solar panel, as power generation equipment for the entire system, is composed of silicon wafers and has a long service life, which can reach a span life of about 20 years.

2. LED light source

The LED light source is composed of at least dozens of lamp beads containing LED chips. The theoretical life is 50,000 hours. Normally, it can reach about 10 years.

3. Street light pole

The street light pole is made of Q235 steel rolled rod. The overall hot-dip galvanizing treatment has strong anti-rust and anti-corrosion ability, so it will not be rusted for at least 15 years.

4. Battery

The main batteries currently used in solar street lights are colloidal maintenance-free batteries and lithium batteries. Gel batteries have a normal span life of 6 to 8 years, and lithium batteries have a normal span life of 3 to 5 years.Generally speaking, it needs to replace the batteries after using for 3 to 5 years to, because the actual capacity of the battery is much lower than the initial capacity in 3 years and 5 years, which affects the lighting effect. The price of replacing a battery is not too high. We can just buy from solar street light manufacturers.

5. Controller

Generally, the waterproof level of the controller is high, so there is no problem in normal use for 5 or 6 years.
