The solar panel industry has almost repaid its climate debt.
Researchers estimate that by 2018, the technology will be combined with greenhouse gas emissions, if not achieved.
Building, assembling and installing solar panels not only consumes energy, but also generates climate. -
Greenhouse gases are warming up.
However, once put into use, solar panels will gradually reverse this imbalance by generating green energy.
Atse Louwen, an environmental scientist at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, and his colleagues reported on Dec. 6 that the manufacturing process has also become greener over the past 40 years.
Every doubling of energy-
The power generation of all solar panels is consistent with a 12-13% drop in energy used in manufacturing and a 17-24% drop in carbon footprint.
